Where Has That Crazy Lady Been?!

That is the million dollar question of the day.

Miss me?????

Yeah, yeah, I know, every bullet so far huh?!

Weeeeell.... Saturday was our anniversary. Since it was the day before Easter my gorgeous hunk of USMC hubby took me away for the weekend. It seems that I am such a wonderful, fun to be with kinda gal and he wanted me all to himself! We left on Thursday for Freemont, IN which is right on the border. Our room had a jacuzzi in it, so needless to say, I spent the whole weekend getting in and out of the jacuzzi and dripping water all over the carpet. You know, the kind of thing that I yell and scream at the kids for.

Friday we went to Marshall, MI.

It was rainy so we walked around in some of the antique stores on Main Street. Then we decided to hit the casino! They make the best chocolatinis! I even won at the slot machines! 120 dollars won! On one pull won! Ok, so maybe I won't be retiring soon, but I was excited!

Then we went to Schuler's and had the best ever meal! It was funny cause I was in the restroom when the food came. The waitress put a lid over my food so it wouldn't get cold. With 3 kids, I didn't know how good food is when it is served hot! Who'd a thunk it! I, of course, stuffed myself beyond all recognition and THEN ordered dessert too! YUM!

We had so much fun. I didn't want to come home. But, we did. I do think we need a few more getaways like this!

Marshall is a gorgeous little town. It is the oldest in Michigan and was supposed to be the capitol. The standards for education in Michigan schools were started here. I definitely plan on going back this summer to wander through all the little stores along Main Street.

As for Easter, the bunny brought the kids new bikes. I really don't know how he can drive all three bikes at once, but he did get them there safely.

Someone was particularly excited to get a "big girl bike". She was determined to ride it all by herself too. Since Sunday, it has been wet and rainy so she has not been able to ride it. Atleast it isn't snow....

So that is where I have been. Now I am off to catch up on what all of you have been doing!

Happy Anniversary! What a fun adventure.Your weather looks like ours! How fun to have that new big girl bike! I love her outfit - she looks like my little granddaughter who is six and was telling me the bike Barbie she just got needed high heels to ride her bike, not those tennis shoes that came with her! Riding in style.

Happy Anniversary to you both! That sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate! My sister lives in Marshall and I swear I would move there in an instant if it was possible. I love that place, all of the shops are great, and shuellers is fabulous! lucky you! and wow, lucky kids... I can't show this to the kids cuz Max will be wondering how the bunny got three bikes to your house and could only manage to carry a styrofoam airplane to ours! He must have been exhausted after delivering to your place :) t. xoxo

Sounds like a great weekend Maggie. Glad you had a great time.

Wow the bitty one is getting so big. How sweet of the Easter Bunny to bring them such fabulous bikes. He brought me chocolate and after I finish it there ain't no bike seat gonna fit this fanny.

Hope the weather changes for you soon... we are having the same here too.

Have a great day.

Hugs, Deb

What a 'sweeeet' Anniversary you had. I love getaways. Our excursions with the casinos usually end up with driving by slowly, rolling down the window and throwing them a twenty without even going in. We figure we save money that way, HA!
And, isn't it the truth about a hot meal. Glad you experienced one.

Hi there, dear Maggie,
so sorry that I haven't been around ..... Blogger sent me to Coventry and has only just decided to be my friend again !!!! I am hoping that all's well now but I'm not holding my breath !!!! haha.
How lovely to get away with your gorgeous husband for a few days. Even though it was raining, it still looks a good place to go. Nice little antique shops, jacuzzi, someone to cook for you.....what more do you need ?
Thanks so much for your lovely comment today.....we are so excited to have a grandson. He is really cute. Have a lovely week Maggie, even though you're back in the old routine !! XXXX

I finally got around to reading some of my comments on past entries and see you wanted to know where I got the cool expandable rake...at 'The Family Dollar', one of our locals dollar stores. I checked the 'Dollar General' and did not find it there...sorry this is late...you probably have all of your raking done already.
And, I see you can make dinner out of lemons...fabulous cook you are and cinnamon rolls too? You amaze me.
