Here at the White Farmhouse we are prone to tornadoes.
They just pop up at a moments notice.
I have noticed that the skies are usually gray and overcast. Maybe even a chance of some rain.
It may even be a touch windy. I don't know if you can see the pear tree in our front yard being bended over.
It is usually quite noisy in the house since the kids can't go out and play.
When the tornado hits, you notice the quiet.
So quiet that it almost hurts your ears.
A deafening quiet.
This is usually while the tornado is hitting and doing it's most damage.
We were lucky this time. The damage was not as extensive as it usually is.
Some areas were not hit as hard as others.
Thankfully, the damage seems to be contained in this one room. Not all through the house while I am contained in one room painting.

lol.. it will take years to overcome that, girlfriend. :)
That is too funny! I know I'm not supposed to say this.... but, she is soooo sweet! Carla
Crap... you got me good. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see trees buckling like literally in half. I'm so gullible!!
Looks like you have something to do this afternoon, eh? (ducking as you throw 20 stuffies at me!)

So Funny! and so true...Why weren't we warned, My guess is we wouldn't have believed it. Oh wait, maybe it's that "what goes around, comes around" thing. It's still funny!
Thanks for the giggle, tho you described it so vividly that I could hardly believe my eyes as the tornado sleeps...is that the same room you just cleaned a bit ago? Oh dear, do I remember those days. My tornados now have their own homes to keep up...loved this entry. Too fun!

Like Donna I was waiting and going OMG!! Then I laughed out loud ~ I am STILL grinning like a fool. Too funny Maggie and she looks like an angel especially with those wings!!
Miss Maggie! Bitty ONe is the name of that little tornado! Oh what a cute, cute, cute post! At first I was actually so worried for you- and when I could name the tornado, I became a little worried for her! You are the best! I got my daily smile from your blog.
I do think you will have to call the national guard to help with the clean up. If they can't come you can always call the Marines!
Love you, friend!

Hi There! I am a fellow Michigander, crazy farmhouse dweller, too! I dunno exactly how I found you but I wanted to say hello! I'm waving at you from mid-Michigan (the lower peninsula)!
I am going to take a look around here for a bit!

That was too funny! Your little Angel looks like the calm after the storm! It does wear one out to create such a storm you know! I can't help but laugh at the deodorant on the dog, she must have figured he was too stinky to reside in her tornado world! Thanks for starting my day with a grin, Theresa
LOLOL..this is hylariouse!!
those darn tornados!!
I came over from BBP, I loved how you led me into the tornado! I was nervous for a second there...glad it calmed down.
You make me laugh so hard! I needed it! Have a wonderful day and keep safe! ~lulu
Oh my goodness -- what a delightful post, Maggie. She is such an angel! I was so grateful that you were all okay -- and you really are okay. Just a normal (almost) family. Those tornadoes can come on quickly, huh? lol
What a whirlwind storm! Love that evil fairy.
Have a lovely day.

Oh Maggie,
That sweet little pink fairy could never have done anything like that sort of damage !!.....and, don't you go telling that dear little girl off.She is obviously just resting after helping you around the house !!!! hahahaha
Maggie, that was so funny.....I realy thought that you were in for some terrible weather and I was going to tell you all to look after yourselves and take care ....... until I saw the bedroom that looked as if a whirlwind had gone through it !!
Now, I don't want to hear that you've told your dear little one off. Tell her that Auntie Jackie will have something to say about that !!!! XXXX
