Foufy Pillows!

I made these last week in anticipation of Make It 4 Monday.

I only got one done though.

Hmmmph!

I guess I know what I will be doing tonight!

I am talking about the ones at the back.

Believe it or not, the bed is made!

We had these pillow inserts on our bed before. Yes, I have turned my hubby into a pillow tramp.

Seems he likes all the pillows.

It is great getting in bed with all the pillows!

I just cut the front piece the same size as the euro insert and the back is two pieces overlapped.

The fabric came out of the fabric pile. The ruffle I made out of a sheer. It's ruffled 2-1/2 times the size of the pillow with seams at the corners.

Sew it all together and voila! A new pillow for the bed!

Now for a pretty little toss pillow for the center.

Maybe next Monday.....

Maggie,

There is nothing more inviting then a bed made up in all white linens with lots of plump pillows. I love your ruffled euro pillow! I have two euros on each bed in our home and it gets expensive finding shams. My mother won awards for sewing and taught me at a young age but I haven't sat behind a sewing machine in a long time. Thank you for the inspiration to give it a try.

Maggie, These pillows are so pretty! I love. love, love (!!!!!!!) the sheer ruffle!!!! I would love to have a pair just like them for my Gable guest bedroom. I believe you can't have enough pillows on a bed. You are one talented lady!!! Your white bed linens look gorgeous and so inviting. What a wonderful job!

I had soooooo many people here over the weekend. 8 in house and 25 for dinner and dessert. I also got a relapse of bronchitis and feel like a truck ran over me- so I haven't posted yet this week. Maybe tomorrow. Do you ever feel like it would be easier to have have your house demolished and carted away than cleaning up after a holiday? Maybe it's because I feel so yucky!
I would love to sleep for a week in your beautiful pillows! So wonderfully done!!!!

After seeing your picture of Lucille Ball in your profile, I had to see what was up at your blog. I have become a follower, and hope you will stop by and follow me for a bit! Love the pillows. I just learned how to do piping recently and made a couple of pillows for the bedroom.
