As I've said before, my SIL does Easter dinner.
She requested if we did baskets for her 2 girls, not to do too much.
So this year I got inventive!
I hope the girls wanted potting soil for Easter!
Then I stuck it in the pot.
Dressed up the pot with more scrapbook paper and tissue paper. Added a chocolate bunny, jelly beans and a pansy. The pansy they can plant in the soil in the bottom of the pot.
I "borrowed" the idea from Yvonne at Stone Gable.
In fact, I am using it for my table setting on Easter morning for brunch.
I have one more cute little Easter project. I am hoping to have it done and posted tomorrow.
I do hope that everyone and their families have a Blessed Easter!

Dear Maggie,
That was a brainwave. I love the idea that they can plant their own pansy AND they get a little bit of chocolate as well, but not too much. Genius.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Easter weekend. XXXX
Cute, cute, cute!!!! Love the idea!
Have a happy Easter!!!
What a great gift idea Maggie ~ love the pansies too! Have a wonderful Easter week-end.
Maggie, These pots are adorable!!! I love the idea of giving the girls the little pansies in egg shells and letting them plant the flowers themselves! You are always so very clever! And every girl needs a little chocolate! Thanks for the second shout out!

Super cute idea! I was getting a little nervous at first with the whole giving them dirt for Easter!!! Now if you did that your SIL wouldn't tell you to keep it simple next year! :) Your nieces will love them and wonder how you got the pansy to grow in an egg! Thanks for stopping by and if I find you on my porch I will get an extra cup out and we'll have coffee out there (mornings are the best time out there) Happy Easter! Theresa
What a sweet idea. :) Very creative how you put all this together. I'm sure they'll adore it!
Thanks for linking up to SNS!

This really is the cutest idea! The pansy planted in the little eggshell is so smart!
Seriously? Now I'm totally gonna give my kids dirt in pots next Easter. *snicker*
I wish I could grow stuff without killing it. Maybe if I actually gave the growing stuff some attention....hmmmm.
