Shutter Up!

Sorry, I used the good title for the other blog post.

Okkkk... I just finished a project that was so simple and I got no idea why it took me all weekend to complete.

The bathroom window went from this....

... to this...

It still needs some type of topper though. I've been debating about it. Maybe a white linen shade tied up over the shutters? Or maybe an old fishing net draped across the top? Or maybe a stained glass piece?

If you are interested in how I did it I posted it here.

How CUTE!! I love those shutters! I visited your blog because I like the name and I LOVE Lucy! And the picture you have of her is from one of my favorite episodes :)

What a great idea! I really like how much character the shutters add to the window...

Ohhh such character! I LOVE this! Instead of a window topper, what about some kinda twiggy branches something or other running along the top for rustic interest? It would feed off the woodsy shutter thang.

I did a window fabrication with a self made shutter with no curtains in view, so guess I'm rather partial to that kinda thing. :)
