Flea Market Treasures!

You may remember when I brought her home. My gorgeous flea market table that works soooo wonderfully in my tiny kitchen. This is the only place to put a table, being there is no dining room. She is 5' long and opens to 42" wide.

And at only 100.00 an extremely good deal!

She got paired with this....

....another flea market find for 35.00. She did get painted SW Caviar (is there any other black?!) that was a big improvement from the dark green. I made the pillows for it out of unbleached muslin.

I was looking for chairs for the set. Til I found some I was using the old chairs from my previous set. I know the mismatched thing is big, but I just couldn't do it. Do you know how hard it is to find 4 chairs that match in the style I wanted? Perserverance has proven to pay off though....

Not only did I find 4 but 6! 40.00 for all 6! I definitely did the Snoopy dance here! So... the bench is getting a new fabulous home which I am excited about. The chairs are getting a little freshen up, buuuuut......

Insert evil laugh here

.... you are going to have to wait to see. It seems that I am finally getting the nasty coldy flu thing that the kids have been swapping back and forth. As you can see the chairs are all lined up for their transformation. Only 2 got done though.

Chairs are such a PITA to paint!

So my goal is to post this at Cottage Charm and Family Inspiration for Junkin Monday with possibly a follow up post when the chairs are done.

Along with something else....

$40 for six chairs?! Not fair! But still, we're very happy that somebody is getting great deals! Can't wait to see them all spruced up!
