Week 4 - Pretty In Pink

Some things are pretty in pink.

Like the roses that my sweet hubby got me after I got my foot set.

Some are still ugly even in pink.

Like my foot in a day glow pink cast! Bitty one requested the pink cast since she LOOOOOVES pink!

She is not crazy with the color of the walls in her room right now. I am kinda with her on that one. The Big one loves it!

But we needed some pink for Bitty. I fell in love with this kitchen that I found a few years ago. I just love it!

Even though it is a kitchen, I used it as a bit of inspiration for their room. Their furniture was painted white a few years ago so I left that. See the baskets on the island? I figured this was a great way to add some pink in here.

I wanted a barely there pink color and that is what I got. Now that it is on though, I am thinking I need to go and have it tinted a bit darker. It's too barely there. Like nonexistent there.

I like the stripes. It gives a playful feel to the room. I still have the monstrosity of a dresser to do though.

I did start to put a few things back in place. That ugly light needs to be replaced.

I did get the boys 2 nightstands coated with the first coat of paint. Definitely needs a second coat though. Pulls too. Makes it alot easier to get into the drawers with pulls.

So there ya go! The very little that I have gotten done upstairs. I am hoping that if I can get through the mounds of laundry that has piled up here I can get more done up there. I have a bit of a problem with stairs and the walking cast.

In the meantime, I do have the dance of the goofernut to amuse me!

Maggie,
I love your stylin' pink foot and leg! Quite the fashion statement!!!! Aren't you so happy you have a little pink loving dancer in your home. I so miss mine!
When my laundry was piling up would say to my kids, "throw a load in or wear your undies inside out today"! HA HA!
Please take it easy!!!! Sending prayers and hugs!

What a sweet hubby to bring you those beautiful roses... and that pink cast just cracked me up. That is pink alright. They will see you coming a mile away. Hope you are on the mend soon Maggie... that has to be so frustrating.

Can't wait to see the room all completed.

Have a great day Maggie.

Hugs, Deb

Goofernut ~ that's funny!! I think the pink is very 1988 and since the 80's are back you are stylin'. I can't believe that you did all that with your cast on ~ does nothing ever stop you??!! Make sure you take time to relax and keep that foot up ~ doctor's orders or you will end up a sorry girl. xo

Well, if you are going to have to wear a cast, a hot pink one is definitely the way to go and I think it looks HOT!

Love the subtle pink strip. I can see it in the picture, so don't know if you can't see it much in real life. That is a very pretty effect.

Glad you have the goofernut for entertainment!!!

What a good mom to let her pick out the color of your cast for you! I see why she is so hard to resist though, because she is adorable AND she can dance :)
Take care, you need to be healed well enough to come to the show! t. xoxoxo

You really make me smile. Your daugther is too cute. Glad to see you are getting around, and still looks like you are not slowing down. Be sure to rest some in-between laundry and projects.

I can relate to the cast. I just broke my foot over the weekend and get to pick out a colored cast tomorrow!

Love what you have done. I really like the inspiration kitchen!

I would get a pink cast. Even though I'm a boy. I'm brave like that.
