Day Three

Well here it is, Day 3. Still no honks or whistles! Atleast like Lynne commented there were no squealing tires from people trying to get away! Be grateful for the little things!

I thought we could get so much more done. Where did the time fly? I was ready to go all the way around the house with this, but it was 6 pm and fat girl was hungry! Guess what I have now though?!

A walkway! Who could know that a little thing like this could make me soooo happy! This is just the base for the pavers that are going to be going down but it is usable now. It's also a bit wider than what is actually going to be down too. It's going to be curved from the stairs to the driveway even though there is a corner now.

Watch that first step! The flower bed is going to be coming down to below the first step too. That is going to be all hand shoveling though. Yeah me!

We are thrilled with how it looks right now though. It looks alot cleaner. Thank goodness all the door to door salesmen will know which door to knock on now! I was so worried about them!

I also have to figure out what to do about this side now. I pulled out all the flowers but the grade is going to change here. Decisions, decisions....

This week will be all about doing the flower bed on the porch side, shopping for flower bed edging stuff and putting some of the flowers back in.

I am going to have a giveaway coming up soon. I'll post more about it next week. As for now, I got more work to do....

It's coming along nicely!

You should plant a ton of daffodil bulbs along that wall - in the spring that would look gorgeous. (If only they were a little cheaper - which is why YOU should plant them and not ME! lol)

You are so sweet to consider those poor door to door salesmen! I have two vinyl "No soliciting" signs on my front door. Someone has taken the "no" off one of them. Just yesterday, someone rang the bell anyhow to sell me magazines! My friend answered and said she was the housekeeper. When she came back in, we told her to get a broom and get to work!!!

Ahhh, this is all gonna be sooo nice. I know how hard it is, working out in the heat. It is 103 here today and a KILLER !!

when you make those biscuits, girl, just be sure to add enuf milk to make your dough really soft ...soft enuf that you have to flour your hands to handle it...then roll (or just pat it out)I have photos on my RECIPES at the top of my blog. So many times, when I first started making them, I just added the amt. of milk stated in the recipe...you just keep adding it til your dough is soft. I use about a full cup...I know you're gonna like them cooked in your brand new iron skillet...be sure to season it so your biscuits (and everything else) won't stick. Yummy...now I want a biscuit...
